Sabrina Carpenter’s Christmas special is star-studded
Santa won’t be the only one delivering this Christmas… Sabrina Carpenter is set to bring us a glitzy festive special, jam-packed with appearances from all of our favourite stars.
A Nonsense Christmas, named after Sabrina’s hit song, is set to put the pop star’s showman reputation to the test. She’ll show off a host of glamourous looks, from ballgowns to mini dresses, as she jumps around from guest to guest.
Here’s everything to know about A Nonsense Christmas ahead of its Netflix release:
Who will make an appearance?
The show, which will be available to watch on Netflix, will see Sabrina joined on stage by a host of pop princesses. Shania Twain, Chappell Roan, Tyla, and Kali Uchis will all perform holiday hits alongside the singer.
The star power doesn’t stop there, as Quinta Brunson, Cara Delevingne, Kyle Mooney, Nico Hiraga, Megan Stalter, Sean Astin, Owen Thiele, and Jillian Bell will appear in scripted roles on the show.
There has been no mention of an appearance from Sabrina’s boyfriend Barry Keoghan, but here’s hoping!
What can we expect?
Sabrina gave fans a taste of what is to come in the trailer, cheekily warning us: ‘I wouldn’t count on a silent night,’ before telling us: ‘Hope you like surprises.’
The official synopsis reads: ‘It’s a nonsense holiday and we’re so here for it. In this special with musical guests, pop icon Sabrina Carpenter will perform songs from her holiday EP Fruitcake and other iconic chart-topping holiday covers.’
‘This special will also feature show-stopping music performances, comedic guests, unexpected duets, plus many more surprises and fun cameos,’ Netflix said.
Who is behind it?
Sabrina will be sure to have plenty of say in the show, as she’s listed as an executive producer alongside her sister Sarah, her managers Bill Perlman and Janelle Lopez Genzink.
Michael D. Ratner, Scott Ratner, Simone Spira, and Kfir Goldber will join the team, as will Sam Wrench, who is responsible for directing Taylor Swift’s 2023 concert film.
When can we watch it?
The show will be available to watch on Netflix from Friday, December 6. We can’t wait!
