Roseanna Ruane’s sweet message to Saoírse ‘in heaven’ ahead of the Toy Show

Roseanna Ruane has shared a sweet message to her beloved daughter Saoírse ahead of the first Late Late Toy Show since her passing.

Saoírse captured the nation’s hearts when she and her mum appeared on the RTÉ show in 2020.

The then-eight-year-old, who not only endured months of chemotherapy but also had her right leg amputated after being diagnosed with an Osteosarcoma tumour in her tibia, was the inspiration behind the inspiring Toy Show Appeal.

Ahead of the Toy Show on Friday, Roseanna revealed she’s been inundated with messages from people telling her they’re thinking about her, her husband Ollie and her daughter Farrah-Rose.

‘That’s just so considerate, thank you very much,’ she told her followers, visibly emotional.

Later, Roseanna shared a sweet message to Saoírse ‘in heaven’. Sharing a snap of her on the Toy Show in 2020, she wrote: ‘I hope you are excited for tonight’s Toy Show Saoírse.’

‘My wish for you tonight is that you get to watch it on a big screen with all the other little angels in heaven and Slush by your side,’ she continued, referencing Saoírse’s beloved stuffed toy companion.

‘I hope you get lots of hot chocolate, popcorn and sweets galore. I’ll be thinking of you my precious, precious girl.’

Roseanna shared that there are ‘mixed emotions’ in the Ruane household ahead of the Toy Show, but that she and Ollie are allowing little Farrah-Rose to stay up for as long as she can keep her eyes open as she’s ‘super excited’.
