Kellie Harrington dresses up as an elf for Christmas party

Kellie Harrington may be a two-time Olympic champion but it’s clear the fame doesn’t get to her head as she gave back to her local community by spreading the Christmas cheer.
The boxer got into the festive spirit as she dressed up as an elf in Santa’s Grotto at Swan Youth Services Christmas party in Dublin’s north inner city, helping Santa give out presents to the boys and girls at the youth club.
Kellie grew up nearby and lives on Portland Row with her wife Mandy – just a few doors down from her own family home – and was given a hero’s welcome home after winning her second Olympic gold medal in Paris this August.
Just last month, Kellie won the Flogas Community Ambassador Award at the Team Ireland Centenary Olympic Ball that recognised her passion for giving back to her community.
And she was ready to do her bit once again as she stepped out as Santa’s Little Helper dressed head to toe in an elf costume.

Santa shared pics of Kellie helping him out and the boxing gloves she signed, writing: ‘Absolute pleasure to help Kellie Harrington give joy to over 260 children at swan youth services in Dublin’s north inner city, we had some laugh as usual and what a team helping make the magic happen, we are blessed.’
Meanwhile, the parents of the kids were delighted as one dad wrote: ‘Have to say fair play to Kellie Harrington for putting on a [great] day for all the kids from the area. Thanks so much.’
Well done Kellie, you’re an inspiration!
