Bad Sisters’ Sarah Greene is engaged to a famous musician
Sarah Greene has won over thousands of fans for her portrayal of Bibi in the hit show Bad Sisters which has just returned for a second season.
But she has many other celeb connections to her name, including being engaged to the guitarist of one of the world’s biggest bands.
Here’s everything to know about Sarah before binging Bad Sisters season two…
Early life and career
Sarah was brought up in Cork and fell in love with acting after being mesmerised by a pantomime.
She trained at the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin and worked in theatre for ten years with roles in West End shows such as The Ferryman.
Sarah also starred in The Cripple of Inishmaan opposite Daniel Radcliffe and received a Tony Award nomination after the play moved to Broadway.
TV roles
As well as playing Bibi in Bad Sisters, you might recognise Sarah for playing Connell’s mum Lorraine in the TV adaptation of Sally Rooney’s Normal People
‘Watching Paul [Mescal] and Daisy [Edgar-Jones] in their first few scenes together was like watching magic. The chemistry was off the charts,’ she told the Daily Mail’s You Magazine.
Dating life
Sarah dated fellow Irish actor Aidan Turner while he was in Poldark for five years from 2010 and they’re still good pals all these years on.
‘We’re good friends, I love Aidan so much,’ she said. ‘I’m obsessed with his wife; our kids play together. We were out a few weeks ago and I asked him if anyone ever asks him about me and he said no. But everyone always asks me about him.’
They’re both set to appear in Terrence Malick’s biblical epic The Way of The Wind although they didn’t see much of each other while filming.
Sarah’s family
Sarah’s not the only talented one in the family. She’s married to Snow Patrol guitarist Nathan Connolly and the couple share a three-year-old son called Eli.
The family lives in Belfast although Nathan is about to go on tour with the band.
Acting isn’t Sarah’s only skill either. She sang backing vocals on two of the tracks on Snow Patrol’s new album with Courteney Cox, partner of Johnny McDaid.
‘I adore her, she’s super down to earth,’ Sarah said.
