Washington boy, 12, steals grandfather’s automobile, drives 160 miles earlier than he’s stopped

A 12-year-old boy in Washington state was arrested after he allegedly stole his grandfather’s automobile and drove it roughly 160 miles throughout the state.

Police within the metropolis of Issaquah notified the Grant County Sheriff’s Workplace on Wednesday that the boy had stolen his grandfather’s car and was believed to be headed towards Grand County, the sheriff’s workplace wrote on Fb.

The boy has some connection to town of Moses Lake, which is situated in Grant County, based on the sheriff’s workplace.

The Sheriff’s Motor Site visitors Unit started trying to find the automobile and situated the car at round 10:20 a.m. parked on the curb of the 900 block of Lowry Road within the Larson Neighborhood in Moses Lake.

The boy then fled within the automobile and led deputies on a brief pursuit that got here to a conclusion when a deputy used a PIT maneuver close to Randolph Highway and State Route 17.

The 12-year-old was taken into custody and booked into the Chelan County Juvenile Justice Middle on suspicion of possession of a stolen car and felony eluding.
